Things you should know

We are Hertfordshire’s oldest golf club and our pretty 9 hole course is on common land to which the public have full access. Players must ensure the way is clear before striking a ball.

We have a comfortable lounge and bar – do visit after your round!

Although we have an associate golf professional we do not have a traditional ‘pro-shop’. Put another way, we do not have trolleys or clubs for hire, or balls and tees for sale.

When there is fog, play must not commence from the first tee unless the flag on the green can be seen or, thereafter, if the player cannot see where their shot may land.

Being a 9 hole course, players on the first tee must alternate with players continuing from the ninth green.

Players should familiarise themselves with the car park regulations which are designed to ensure the car park is not filled by local commuters. In essence, free tickets which can be obtained from the machine from 11am, must be displayed between 1pm and 3pm. To obtain a ticket it may be necessary to break your round.
